Mumbai to Panchgani Taxi

There are two popular routes to reach Panchgani from Mumbai.

The shortest Mumbai-Panchgani route is via Bengaluru – Mumbai Highway/ Mumbai – Pune Highway/Mumbai – Satara Highway and NH 48. It is 244 km long and can be covered within 5 hours of driving. On this route you will cross Navi Mumbai, Sarsan, Pune, Surur, Wai and then reach Panchgani.

Another route for Mumbai to Panchgani road trip is via NH 66. In distance this route is almost similar with 249 km of length. But it takes around 5 hours and 45 minutes to cover this distance. It goes from Mumbai to Navi Mumbai, Pali, Kolad, Mahabaleshwar and finally Panchgani.

Second largest mountain plateau of Asia and the highest point of Panchgani, it is a must visit location. It is known for the mesmerising views of the valleys, especially at sunset and sunrise.

Located on the Panchgani – Mahabaleshwar Road, it is a well-maintained landscape with a wide variety of flowers, strawberry plants along with a small nursery, restaurant, chocolate factory, shop and a play area for kids. 

Devrai Art Village

Celebrating indigenous art and craft, it is the ideal place for handicrafts. It has varied types of handicrafts in metal, wood, stone and bamboo. Once here, you will find many exquisite souvenirs to take back home. 

Sydney Point

Another popular view point in Panchagni is the Sydney Point. Visit this place for an enchanting view of the Krishna valley. This spot is only 2 km away from the Panchgani bus stand and can be easily accessed when you enter this hill station from the Wai. 

Rajpuri Caves

These caves hold both religious significance as well as natural beauty. It is believed that here, Pandavas prince had taken refuge during their exile. You will find many ponds around the caves, adding to its scenic charm.   

Other sightseeing locations that you must visit on your Panchgani tour are Kaas Plateau, Kate’s Point, Parsi Point, Wai, Bhilar Waterfalls and Mahabaleshwar. 

Being a hill station, Panchgani is blessed with beautiful views and trails. Hence, it is a popular site for adventure sports like trekking and paragliding. Hilltop camping is also common here. If visiting in the winter season, go for a tour of the strawberry farms.

You can plan your Mumbai to Panchgani road trip all throughout the year. However, to choose a particular best time then it would be from the month of October to March. Winters is the peak holiday season here, so if you want to have more of a peaceful holiday then plan your trip to Panchagani in summer.
