Khambhalida Caves

Also known as Rajkot Caves, these are a group of three Buddhist caves, dating back to 4th or 5th century AD. Discovered in 1958, by renowned archaeologist, P. P. Pandya, these caves are located near the Gondal town. It is believed that, along with many great Buddhist saints, once even Ashoka visited these caves for meditation. 

Kaba Gandhi no Delo

It is a museum where weaving classes are also held so as to preserve the art of handloom. One of the popular temples in Rajkot is the Swaminarayan Mandir on the Kalawad Road. Consisting of three main shrines, the central shrine is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. The impressive structure of this temple has been built with three kinds of marbles- Ambaji marble, Makrana marble and Udaipur pink marbles. It also boasts of detailed craftsmanship.

A unique place to visit on your Rajkot road trip is the Rotary midtown dolls museum. Established by Deepak Agrawal in 2001, this two floored museum has more than 1600 dolls from around 102 countries. Pradhyuman Zoological Park

Also known as Rajkot Prani Sangrahalaya, it is a vast park with 137 acres of land. Being surrounded by two lakes, Lake Lalpari and Lake Randarda, this picturesque park is also home to many migratory birds. It also has more than 35 thousand trees and is home to many wild animals.
