Located 20 km from Surat, Dumas Beach is a popular tourist attraction. This black colour beach (owing to the high iron content) is a unique place to spend some time by the side of the vast Arabian Sea. You will also find many food stalls on the beach. 

Jagdish Chandra Bose Aquarium

Along with exploring the historical sites, explore the wonder of marine life at the Jagdish Chandra Bose Aquarium. At this aquarium, you will find varied rare fishes, turtles, aquatic plants and invertebrates. There are more than 36 aquarium boxes here, but the major attractions are the shark tunnel, jellyfish pool and the turtle pool.  

BAPS Shri SwamiNarayan Temple

Built in pink stone, showcasing detailed exquisite carvings, SwamiNarayan Temple is a must visit in Surat. Dedicated to the Swaminarayan sect of Vaishnavism, the main idol in this temple is of Ladila Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj. Its architectural beauty and spiritual environment is worth experiencing. 

Sardar Patel Museum

Established in 1891, this museum is located within the premises of Moti Shahi Mahal. Earlier known as Winchester Museum, it is now known as Sardar Sangrahalaya or the Sardar Patel Museum. Displaying a rich collection of ancient arts and crafts, paintings, relics in its various galleries, this museum also has a planetarium, auditorium and a restaurant. 

Gopi Talav

Built in 16510 during the rule of Gujarat Sultanate, Gopi Talav is a lake, which gets its water from Tapi River. Visit this lake for recreational activities. Boating is especially very popular here. Picnic at the park next to the lake is also ideal if you are visiting with family or children. Water fountains and the lighting at the lake adds to its attraction.
